movie madness

Three movies in four days…if you really know me that well, you’d probably be surprised that I was able to accomplish that, mainly because I’m not really a movie person…I’m more into music kc…well anyway, the 3 movies that I watched were: (1) The Wedding Crashers; (2) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and (3) Must Love Dogs…Nope, I will not give you hardcore reviews of these movies (I’ll leave that to JR), I’ll just give my two cents’ worth on what I liked and hated about these films…

first stop: The Wedding Crashers—my friends have been trying to catch this film for like three weeks I think but to no avail…either busy sa work, di kami kumpleto or wala ng available seats…finally, ann, carmeli and I were able to catch it…well, I must say it’s really a funny movie…dito ko lang ata naappreciate ng husto si Owen Wilson…I never really liked him before coz I always thought there’s something wrong with his face (his crooked nose)…really funny film…kinda makes you wonder how far men would go just to get laid…tsk…not a very comforting thought…on the other hand, it also confirms one of the many love clichés: love comes when you least expect it…who would have thought that these 2 seemingly immature and unfeeling guys would come across their one true love in the course of their wedding crashing pursuit?

next: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory—pambata sha talaga…very colorful and lively…I think the oompah loompahs pulled this one off…hehehe…the movie basically teaches the kids good manners and the value of family—dito medjo nakakarelate ako coz I’ve been having some realizations lately…oh and by the way, I just thought that the kid who played Charlie fits the role perfectly…he looks so innocent and kind…Johnny Depp, on the other hand, is not so hot sa movie na toh…shady character with a really weird haircut is not very appealing…his acting is good though and I liked his bitchy remarks in reply to those little devils! Hehehe…

Last stop: Must Love Dogs—this is my favorite among the three films I’ve seen…very well-written script…not too mushy but really sweet and funny…I’m not a John Cusack fan but I liked his character here—very witty and unpretentious…this is the kind of guy that would make you want to fall…yung tipong you know that they are not trying to impress you with all crap and bs…hayy…reminds me so much of K…ok let’s not go there…that deserves another entry…hehehe…and oh by the way, I liked the way the writers incorporated poetry into the film…well medjo I’m into poetry kc kaya naappreciate ko sha…hayy…roch and I just wish we would not get that far in search of The One…

It’s almost 2am, I better sleep now to get to the office early coz I have a training at 10:30! Drat!
