Bangcock adventures

It’s only been 5 days since I got here and yet it feels like I’ve been here for a year…pano naman kc, sa dami na ng nagawa ko since I arrived eh parang antagal na talaga! When I got here last Friday afternoon, I only had time to unpack my things and wait for Paui to get to the apartment…and then we were off to a team dinner at Soy Wan (not sure if that’s how it’s spelled pero ganyan nila ipronounce eh)…I met most of my teammates already even before my first day in the office! Nothing really special about the food…Pwede na sa halangang 150…lahat ata ng natikman ko dun sa resto na un eh maanghang eh…buti na lang I love spicy food…hehehe…after dinner, We went to Slim bar where we partied like there’s no tomorrow…I’ve been out of the clubbing scene for as long as I can remember kaya sobrang nakakapanibago…nakakapanibago pero Masaya…I met more of peeps from my team (including the big bosses!) in the club, even one of their ex-teammate who was visiting Bangkok who called for the get-together…sobrang sikip nung bar considering isang strip ng mga club ung lugar na un…parang di nauubos ung mga tao…We went home around 2:30AM after the bar has closed …I felt really exhausted after dancing the whole night…Surprisingly, I was already up at 10 the following day…Paui, Mervs and I were off to Lotus to buy stuffs that I need in the apartment…we had lunch pala muna at KFC…Tapos nun, namili na ko ng gamit…Electricfan, iron, sampayan, plantsahan, balde, hamper at kung ano2 pa…Surprisingly, 3K+ lang ung nagastos ko huh…kung sa pilipinas ewan ko na lang…hehehe…after nun, umuwi na kami at nag-ayos ng gamit coz paui had to go back to the office…and then nagdinner kmi somewhere (wala akong mashadong matandaang street names dito dahil ang hirap ipronounce ng mga pangalan!) and I got to try mango with sticky rice (I think that’s how they call it) for dessert…sarap! para shang biko with coconut milk on top paired with ripe mango…the following day, mall-hopping naman kami…I think mga 4 or 5 ata na mall ung napuntahan namin nung araw na un! Pero wala kaming nabili lahat...I’m kinda hesitant to spend coz di ko alam kung may sweldo na ba ko on the 25th or I will still have to wait til next month…gosh ang tagal nun pagnagkataon! Gudlak na lang sa kin! After malling, I accompanied reysiel sa parlor (ni lola rochness) at nagpagupit na din ako…while waiting for us, paui bought us rotiboy pala…sooobraang sarap nung bread!!! No wonder blockbuster ang pila…imagine nyo na lang friends ung pila sa bread talk in glorietta when they opened! O kaya ung pila sa lotto nung umabot ng 180+M ung prize…Ganun! Nung pauwi na, tinry naman naming ung kainan malapit sa apartment…ansarap din nung pata rice that I ordered…We went home na after to prepare for my first day!

First day in the office went pretty smooth. Pirma lang ng contract, pa-ID, pa-medical, and open ng bank account…buti na lang madaming tour guide dito I had no trouble finding my way sa mga dapat puntahan…Nung gabi, we went to CM2 to watch reysiel’s fave band…in fairness they were good huh…pretty pa nung female vocalist (nakakatibo! Hahaha)…I’m not sure if it’s always like that duon or tuwing ladies’ night lang pero mygeds nakakatakot ung mga babae dun ha! Parang lalamon ng mga lalaking foreigner eh! As in! Well, sabi nga nina JCo & Paui eh tambayan nga daw un ng mga pick-aboo…naloka ko when the vocalist started to dance with me…pero mas naloka ko dun sa babaeng katabi ko!!!Parang nakadrugs langya…basta kakaiba sha magsayaw! Kulang na lang ioccupy nya ung buong dance floor eh! And he was making manyak the vocalists as in!!!! =s

The following day was more traumatic than the first one…I had to submit id pics for work permit processing kc…sabi nina paui meron daw after the gasoline station malapit sa office namin so lakad lang ako…12:30 ng tanghali toh ha…ava, nakalagpas na ko ng first gasoline station eh wala pa din ang Kodak…cge lakad pa ko...habang naka stiletto ako nito ha…langya, 20 minutes na kong naglalakad eh wala pa din! I asked some guy na lang kung san ako pwede magpa ID coz mukang wala ng pag-asa ang Kodak and he told me na direchuhin ko lang daw ung nilalakad ko for another 1 kilometer and I’ll find one…langya!!! Eh ung nilakad ko mga 4 kilometro na ata eh! So I hailed the first taxi that went by and told him to take me to the nearest Kodak center! Natatawa na lang ako sa pangyayare nun eh…and at the same time I was soooo proud of myself na naglakad ako ng ganun kalayo! Akalain mo un??!! Too bad I ended up with blisters in my feet :(

On the way home, reysiel, rochie and I had dinner at Mr. soupman…sarap ng sabaw nung noodles!!! Hehehe…nakakatuwa coz I get to try different dishes almost everyday…Most of the food I tried masarap naman, but iba pa din ung timplang pinoy…ditto kc medjo spicy most of their dishes eh…I’m planning to cook na lang in the next few days if I get the chance…sana lang umabot kami ni paui sa pupuntahan namin ngayon para makabili ng mga panluto…

Hmm…that’s my Bangkok adventure so far…next time I’ll try to post some pics :)
